Monsoon winds have weakened over southern flanks of Arabian sea ushering in a lull in monsoon over Kerala providing much needed time for flood ravaged state to breathe back to normalcy. Stray showers cannot be ruled over Kerala Ghats. Whereas Konkan coast has come under renewed monsoon spell bringing heavy rains to coasts and adjoining ghats in Maharashtra and Goa. Parts of Rajasthan, Delhi and Haryana will witness isolated rains due to prevailing circulations in the vicinity.
Interiors of South Peninsula will be drier, warmer and less windier signifying monsoon lull. It’s no different in Tamil Nadu as well, with warmer to hotter conditions returning back to the state. Noon and evenings tend to be hotter in coastal areas than the interior counterparts. Rainfall if any will be patchy and isolated. Enhanced rainfall activity is forecast for month end if long range model forecasts are anything to go by.
