The weather across Tamil Nadu will continue to be hot and humid with no respite is expected. In the north, the Monsoon Zone is active with a couple of low pressure areas near Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Heavy rains likely at some places in Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile, an upper air cyclonic circulation is likely to form aloft west central Bay of Bengal during the next 48 hours and subsequently it could lead to the formation of a low pressure area in the same region around the 26th. The western ghats will continue to get soaked with Monsoon rains under the influence of an off shore trough.

Chennai will have to bear with above normal temperatures atleast for the next 2-3 days. The maximum in Chennai could settle around 37 C.
Coimbatore would experience a warm and cloudy day with maximum temperature of 33/34 C.
Madurai will stay a bit sultry with a day time high of 37 C.
Vellore will also be hot and sultry with a maximum of 37/38 C.
Trichy will also be hot and uncomfortable with a day time of 38 C.
