All eyes on May system

There is a good chance of a Depression forming during 1st half of May. Early model forecasts call for it heading towards all direction from Andhra coast to Myanmar and the consensus among models will be reached by end of April. At the moment it does not look like affecting TN.

Hot weather likely to continue over most parts of Tamil Nadu with temperature likely to stay normal for this time of year. Meanwhile some pockets in interior Tamil Nadu received isolated thunderstorm rains and this scattered thunderstorms will continue.

City Outlook:

Chennai – Mostly sunny with a maximum of around 37°C and a minimum of around 28°C.

Madurai – Hot day with maximum of 39°C and minimum of 25°C.

Trichy – Uncomfortable Hot and warm day with maximum of 39-40°C and minimum of 26°C.

Coimbatore – Maximum around 35°C and minimum of 25°C.Isolated Thunderstorm possible by evening.

Vellore – Typical Hot day with maximum of 40°C and minimum of 25°C.
