Benevolent rains to continue in Tamil Nadu

The weakened monsoon low over west central India is expected to bring very heavy rainfall at some places of Gujarat, Rajasthan,
Konkan and Saurashtra regions. The
recent very heavy rainfall activity over Karnataka, Kerala and Tamilnadu ghats likely to come down from today however heavy rainfall at isolated places cannot be ruled out. Sea conditions will be rough along west coast. A fresh low pressure area(LPA) may form over north Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood around 19th of this month.

Seasonal windy weather with scattered evening thunderstorms possible in Tamil Nadu. Day time temperatures will stay normal across the state.

City Outlook:

Chennai – Warm and partly cloudy with max of 35-36c and min of 28c. Evening showers possible.

Vellore – Clear day ahead with max of 36c and min of 26-27c.

Trichy – Partly cloudy and breezy with max settling at 35-36c and min around 27c.

Madurai – Very warm with max of 36-37c and min of 26c.

Coimbatore – Pleasantly warm and mostly cloudy with max around 30c and min around 23c.
