Benevolent rains to continue in TN

South West Monsoon has revived in Peninsular India with a well marked low pressure area churning in south east Vidharbha and neighbourhood. As a result, extremely heavy falls are forecasted for Konkan and Goa, heavy to very heavy rains are forecasted for Gujarat and Madhya Maharashtra. Elsewhere in west coast, monsoon is active over Coastal Karnataka and Kerala with much needed rains to bring down the deficits.

In Tamil Nadu, isolated showers/thunderstorms popup in the afternoon/early evening in interiors owing to moisture incursion from west coast, eventually moving towards the coast. Ghat areas of Nilgiris, Coimbatore are expected to receive significant precipitation all thanks to active Monsoon conditions next door.
