Bountiful September showers to continue in TN

Under the influence of the cyclonic circulation persisting over North East Bihar and neighbourhood, North Eastern states of India are expected to receive scattered rainfall.

With the west coast becoming inactive and paving way for convectional rainfall activity to take their lead in Tamil Nadu, interior TN and other coastal areas are expected to witness widespread bountiful thundershowers. South coastal areas of Tamil Nadu are to receive good rains owing to the presence of a cyclonic circulation over the Gulf of Mannar and adjoining Sri Lanka which is extending upto 4.5 Km and tilting southwards with height.

City Outlook:

Chennai – A warm day with temperature hovering around 33/34C with good chances of thundershowers later in the evening/night.

Vellore – A day with temperature around 34-35C accompanied by convectional rainfall in the evening.

Coimbatore – Warm day with temperature touching 32-33C followed by rains in the afternoon/evening.

Trichy – Hot and partly cloudy day with temperature rising upto 36-37C. Good chances of light rains also exist.

Madurai – Temperature is to hover around 34-35C along with thundershowers in the afternoon/evening.
