Chennai city has seen one of its best spell in last 2 days. Almost all areas in city have surpassed the june month average rainfall of 70 mm. Many areas now currently stand in super excess zone for this month with more to come in next 2-3 days.
The UAC off TN coast is expected to slowly fizzle out and westerlies at mid level of troposphere will get restored back , which may bring typical SWM kind of thunderstorms in late evening and night from interiors for next few days.
