Cat 1 cyclone “Nada” is heading towards the coast of Tamil Nadu and is expected to hit the coast near Cuddalore during wee hours of tomorrow. Although the cyclone may hit the coast tonight, people will start feeling its impact from today. Strong winds and heavy rainfall are likely over coastal Tamil Nadu and Puducherry for two days.
While weather enthusiasts are praying for more rain for Chennai and Tamil Nadu, State governments of Tamil Nadu & Puducherry have taken elaborate precautionary measures to meet any eventuality in view of the cyclone.

Chennai – Overcast, intermittent rain possible with wind. Max Temp may touch 29°C.
Vellore – Overcast, rain likely. Max Temp would be 29°C.
Madurai – Cloudy with light rain. Max temp would be around 32°C.
Trichy – Mostly cloudy and rain likely. Max Temperature would be around 27°C.
Coimbatore – Partly cloudy & pleasant. Max Temperature would be around 32°C.
