With Cyclone Phethai expected to come closer to North TN, the district of Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur and Chennai (KTC) has chance of getting rains from the outer western bands today. It will be cloudy in KTC to start with and as day goes on there might be chance of one band of dense clouds falling over Chennai. There are two possibilities for KTC rains
- If the Cyclone Phethai comes more west and close to Chennai the dense westerly clouds will fall over us and we might get moderate to heavy rains today.
2.If the Cyclone Phethai moves more east away from Chennai then we might miss the westerly clouds and we might get only light to moderate rains.
And its going to be windy day for Chennai irrespective of the two outcomes.
