The low pressure area over northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal areas of West Bengal and north Odisha with the associated cyclonic circulation extending upto 1.5 km above mean sea level persists. As the cloud mass and divergence field move over to northeastern states and the system likely to weaken further, leading to significant reduction in rainfall activity over East India during next 12 hours. However, rainfall likely at most places over northeastern states with isolated heavy falls over Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura during next 24 hours and decrease significantly thereafter.
