A upper air cyclonic circulation is persisting over Comorin area & adjoining south Tamilnadu at 1.5 km above mean sea level. Under its influence, evening thunderstorms are all set to gain traction over South and North Interior TN in the upcoming week.
To bring more cheer to water starved people, the propagation of MJO wave in IO basin by the end of next week will prolong and broaden the spread of this thunderstorm activity into the coastal districts of TN (excluding Chennai, Tiruvallur and Kancheepuram) until the end of May. Despite this widespread rainfall activity, hot and humid conditions will only prevail during the daytime.
