As the days roll on relentlessly forward, the temperature over TN continues to rise with no letup in heat. Today a few places near western Ghats in Southern districts might have Thunderstorms in what could be a harbinger of more rains in Southern Tamil Nadu in the coming week.
Up north, another Western disturbance might bring scattered Thunderstorms and hail over J&K, Punjab and Uttarakhand while unstable atmospheric conditions and moisture incursion could result in Violent Thunderstorms in parts of Orissa, West Bengal and Northeastern states.

Chennai – Few scattered clouds at day break. A sunny day in prospect with day high hovering around 35 degrees.
Coimbatore – Day will remain hot and sunny with the day max peaking at 37 degrees.
Madurai – No let up seen here as the day time highs continue to be above normal leading to uncomfortable afternoons. A high of 39 degrees in prospect.
Trichy – Another hot day in the offing. Day highs will hover around 37 degrees.
Vellore – Near perfect summer day on cards with the day high expected to peak around 36 degrees.
