As we head towards summer, the temperatures over TN will continue to rise with no rain in sight. South interior Andhra Pradesh and interior TN are likely to face the brunt of the heat wave. However coastal areas of Tamil Nadu may see some respite during night and early morning hours due to the prevailing/weakening easterlies.
Coastal Andhra might see some thunderstorms accompanied by winds during afternoon /evening hours. An upper air cyclonic circulation (UAC) lying over south Andaman sea extends upto 3.1km above mean sea level. Under its influence a low pressure area is likely to form over South east bay adjoining East Central Bay of Bengal on 14 or 15 of April 2017. This UAC will be monitored by models for any further development.
