Interior thunderstorms on the prowl

Under the influence of a trough extending along interior peninsula, thunderstorms are set to continue along the western ghat regions in Tamilnadu and Karnataka. Rest of the state will continue to face moderately warm conditions as we enter into May, with sea breeze saving the day along the coast.
Numerical models indicate this trend to continue for the next few days with no major change expected for other parts of the state.
City Outlook:

Chennai – Sunny with a maximum of 36 degrees and a minimum of 28 degrees.

Coimbatore – Very warm with a high of about 39 degrees and a low of about 25 degrees. Chance of thundershowers developing later into the day.
Madurai – Hot with a high of about 40 degrees and a low of about 27 degrees.
Tiruchi – Sizzling with a high of about 40 degrees and a low of about 27 degrees.
Vellore – Hot with a high of 39 degrees and a low of 24 degrees.
