Isolated Rains To Continue In The Southern Parts Of The Peninsula

The sub-par North-East Monsoon continues to proceed with a dismal deficit, as widespread rains seem nowhere near. The cycle of showers in the southern parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala is likely to continue while hot weather grips the rest of the southern peninsula. Dry weather is likely over the rest of the peninsula. Parts of Northeast India and the adjoining country of Bangladesh could be in for some wet weather from the weakened depression.
City Outlook:
Chennai – A warm and dry day up ahead with maximum temperatures of 33 C.
Madurai – Fairly warm afternoon on the cards with slight chances of rain. The mercury could hit 34-35 C.
