Isolated spotty thundershowers to dot North Interior TN

The upper air cyclonic circulation over the NW bay and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal & Odisha persists and now extends upto 1.5 km above mean sea level. Another upper air cyclonic circulation which lies over east central Arabian sea & adjoining Coastal Karnataka and extends upto 5.8 km above mean sea level has become less marked.

Coastal Kerala and Interior Karnataka continue to have medium to rather heavy rain along with a few thunderstorms. Many districts in TN will remain dry. Showers can be witnessed over a few places in NW interior and central interiors districts of TN.

City Outlook:

Chennai – The sky condition is likely to be partly cloudy. Light to moderate rain might occur in some areas with a maximum temperature of 35°C.

Vellore – Mostly cloudy with maximum temperature of 34°C. Chance of a light shower in the evening.

Madurai – Partly cloudy with maximum temperature of 33°C. Region may witness isolated thunderstorms.

Trichy – Partly cloudy. Maximum temperature may settle around 35°C. Light rain is possible in the city during evening time.

Coimbatore – Mostly cloudy. with a max temperature of 31°C. Drizzles possible in a few parts of the city.
