Isolated storms over South Peninsula

Marked reduction in the frequency of Thundershowers will be observed over South Peninsula over the weekend. Summer temperatures offset greatly by the rains will see a slight increase in parts of Tamil nadu. Coastal areas will continue to benefit from the moderating influence of the sea. Isolated Thundershowers will popup over the South and western interiors of the state due to available moisture and day time heating.

Parts of North East will continue to see seasonal Thundershowers along with Bengal and Odisha. Isolated Duststorm will be observed over Rajasthan. Heat wave conditions are expected over isolated pockets of Vidharbha.

City Outlook:

Chennai – Humid and very warm with day time highs of 36C. Night will be warm at 27C

Vellore – Hot and partly cloudy with highs of 38C and lows of 26C. Rains may occur along the western parts for the district.

Trichy – Hot and sunny with high of 39C and lows of 27C. Chances of isolated rains in parts of the district.

Madurai – Another hot day followed by Thundershowers in the proximity. Highs of 39C and lows of 26C will be observed

Coimbatore – Warm and sunny with highs of 35C and lows of 23C. Thundershowers in the nearness by evening.
