Isolated Thunderstorms with gusty winds very likely over interior TN

In view of the strengthening and deepening of cross equatorial flow and enhanced cloudiness and rainfall, Southwest Monsoon (SWM) has advanced into South Andaman Sea, some parts of South Bay of Bengal and Nicobar islands. Keaweather would update Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) to track SWM advancement over parts of India. Currently NLM passes through Lat 5°N/ Long 80°E, lat 8°N/ Long 87°E, Car Nicobar and Lat 11°N/Long 99°E. Conditions are favorable for further advance of SWM into some parts of South Arabian Sea, Comorin Maldives areas, some more parts of South Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea and Andaman Nicobar islands during next 48 hours.

The extremely severe cyclonic Storm Mekunu over West Central Arabian Sea moved further north northwestwards and is expected to cross South Oman-Southeast Yemen coasts.

Thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds very likely at isolated places over Kerala, Interior Tamilnadu and Coastal & South Interior Karnataka.
