The warm waters of SE Arabian sea continues to host a trough of low from Comorin area to South Konkan coast. Under its influence, scattered showers to continue over the Nilgiris district and southern parts of TN and Kerala for the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, Weather watchers have issued a lookout for the upcoming system just south of Sri Lanka by early next week. A favourable track of this system towards Tamil Nadu coast may well provide a much needed relief to the farmers and water managers across the state.
