Monsoon expected to flicker back to life

Northeast monsoon has been a major failure thus far with most parts of peninsular India lying in major deficit zone. But global weather models indicate that good news is on the way, as a low-pressure area is expected to intensify in South Bay of Bengal and move towards Tamilnadu coast later this week. Rainfall could commence as early as Wednesday evening over coastal areas of the state.
Meanwhile pleasant day time weather is expected to continue with a slight increase in night time lows.
