Monsoon spreads its tentacles over Northern plain

The Indian summer monsoon is on a roll and is seen in a vigorous mood over northern plains of the country. Thanks to the low pressure area LPA over North West UP and its neighbourhood. The said system is likely to remain quasi- stationary and cause some widespread heavy to very heavy falls over UP, Utharakhand in the next few days. Himachal, Haryana, Chandigarh and the Capital city is expected to join the monsoon bandwagon for a day or two.. North eastern states too are expected to get their share over the same period.
Moving down south, few scattered spells of rains are expected over interior TN.. Isolated thunderstorm activity likely over North coastal TN towards evening/ late night.

City Outlook:

Chennai – Less cloudy and humid with max of 36C and min of 28c. Isolated showers expected in the evening.

Coimbatore – pleasant and cloudy with max of 29c and min of 22c. Isolated showers possible.

Madurai – Sunny day with max of 37c and min of 26c.

Trichy – Clear and warm with max of 37c and min of 28c.

Vellore – Sunny and warm with max of 38c and min of 29c. Isolated showers possible.
