Monsoon to progress further in the coming days across North and North West India

The southwest monsoon has further advanced into remaining parts of north Arabian Sea, Saurashtra & Kutch, Gujarat region, some more parts of Madhya Pradesh and some parts of south Rajasthan.
The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) passes through Lat. 26.0 °N / Long. 70.0°E, Barmer, Chittorgarh, Guna, Satna, Siddhi, Patna and Lat.27.0°N / Long. 85.0°E. Conditions are favorable for further advance of Monsoon in the next 2 to 3 days. Under the influence of an offshore trough, heavy rains to continue all along the west coast. Tamil Nadu will see some isolated rains.

Chennai can expect a partly cloudy day with a day time high settling around 37 C.

Coimbatore will be much comfortable with a maximum of 29/30 C. Drizzle / light rains can be expected.

Madurai to have a warm day with maximum around 36 C.

Trichy to experience a hot and humid day with maximum settling around 38 C.

Vellore can expect a cloudy day with a maximum of 37 C.
