Most parts of TN sans Ghats to experience above normal temperature

A depression lies over West central Bay of Bengal off the North Andhra – South Odisha coast. It is likely to drift Northeastwards in the next 2 days, with possibilities of slight intensification into a deep depression likely. Further intensification beyond this might be inhibited by high vertical wind shear over the area. Heavy rainfall possible over parts of North Andhra coast, Odisha and West Bengal coasts. Gusty winds are also likely over these coastal areas.
Rainfall over TN is likely to be limited to Southern parts of the state and the Ghat areas. Rest of the state might experience higher than normal temperatures and dry weather.

City Outlook:

Chennai – Sunny conditions to prevail with maximum temperature around 35°C
Vellore – Partly cloudy conditions expected with max temperature touching 35°C
Madurai – Mostly cloudy with couple of thunderstorms in the evening. Max  temp would be 32°C
Trichy – Partly cloudy with some chance of shower in the evening/night. Max Temperature would be around 34°C
Coimbatore – Few Thundershowers possible during the day/evening. Max Temperature  would be around 31°C.
