This marks the beginning of the North East monsoon onset, which is a major period of rainfall activity over the peninsula. Numerical models indicate rainfall to commence today over coastal TN along with a gradual fall in daytime temperatures in the coming days.

Trichy – Partly cloudy with a high of about 34 degrees and a low of about 25 degrees.
Coimbatore – Mostly sunny with a high of about 30 degrees and a low of about 22 degrees.
