The Low Pressure which caused active NEM conditions with isolated heavy rains has weakened and moved away westwards. It now lies as a trough of low at mean sea level over southeast Arabian Sea & adjoining Maldives-Lakshadweep area. Thus, a substantial reduction in rainfall activity over the southern states is very likely during next 48 hours. No major rains is expected until end of this month.
