North East Monsoon rains lash east India

North East Monsoon rains has shifted base from traditional monsoon zones of South Peninsula to parts of east India as the causative well marked low over west central and adjoining Bay of Bengal has intensified into a Depression and lay centered near west central Bay of Bengal adjoining Andhra Pradesh coasts. This system has taken moisture along with it only to be dumped in coastal areas of North Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.

The Depression is expected to move further north in the next 24 hours and then north northeastwards.
