The West Central & North West Bay of Bengal off South Odisha and North AP coast is abuzz with activity, courtesy an UAC (Upper air cyclonic circulation) and this would ensure fairly widespread rains over coastal AP and south Odisha. Widespread showers are also in place for regions like NE states, Konkan & Goa, North Interior Karnataka.
Tamil Nadu barring few regions of North coastal areas will see warm and dry conditions over the next few days. Isolated rain spells cannot be ruled over few pockets of western TN and ghat areas. Slightly above normal temperatures to continue over interior TN in places like Madurai, Erode, Salem and Dindugal.

Chennai – Slightly overcast conditions at day break. A calm day with a max of around 34 degrees. Chance of an isolated showers at few places.
Coimbatore – Few scattered cloud cover at day break. Periods of warm sunshine. A day high of 33C. Nights continues to be pleasant at 22 degrees.
Madurai – Another scorcher of a day in the offing. A day high of 37 degrees. Relatively cooler night at 23 degrees.
Trichy – A warm day beckons the region. Slightly above normal day high of 37 and low of 26 degrees is expected.
Vellore – Plenty of clouds around. Turning warmer and dry as day wears on. A high of 34 degrees with a chance of thunderstorms later in the evening.
