Scattered rainfall activity expected to continue over South TN

Yesterday’s trough of low pressure at mean sea level over equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal persists, under its influence, a low pressure is expected to form off Sri Lanka coast during the next 2 to 3 days. Meanwhile, the Northeast monsoon activity continues to remain subdued over Tamil Nadu with scattered rainfall activity reported over South Tamil Nadu during the past 24 hours.
Scattered rainfall activity is expected to continue over South Tamil Nadu with possibility of isolated heavy rains over Thoothukudi, Ramanathapuram and Nagapattinam districts during the next 3 to 4 days. North Tamil Nadu may witness only isolated rainfall activity in the next 2 to 3 days.
City Outlook:
Chennai – Partly cloudy sky to continue, maximum of around 31 to 32 degrees and a minimum close to 25 degrees with light rains possible.
Madurai – Generally cloudy sky with the maximum of around 33 degrees and a minimum of 24 degrees with possibility for light to moderate rains.
Trichy – A partly cloudy sky with maximum settling close to 33 degrees and minimum of around 24 degrees.
Coimbatore – Somewhat warm conditions for this time of the year to continue with maximum of 32 degrees and a pleasant nights/early mornings at 22 degree minimum.
Vellore – Yet another partly cloudy sky with maximum close to 33 degrees and a very pleasant minimum of 21 to 22 degrees.
