Due to the lack of significant synoptic activity, most of the state is witnessing dry conditions. However with the strengthening of easterlies over the bay, there is a hope of precipitation along the southern most part of the peninsula. South TN can be the beneficiary with some scattered showers in a day or two as per numerical models. Coastal Delta region can get some light showers as well.
The dry period could continue further for north and interior TN for at least a few more days to come.

Chennai – Mix of Haze and Sun with high of about 30 degrees and a low of 23 degrees. A foggy morning is possible.
Vellore – Clouds and sun with a high of about 31 degrees and a low of 22 degrees.
Coimbatore – Cloudy with a high of 28 degrees and a low of 21 degrees. Isolated thunderstorms are possible.
Madurai – Mostly sunny with a high of about 32 degrees and a minimum of 23 degrees.
Tiruchi – Sun and clouds with a high of about 31 degrees and a minimum of 23 degrees.
