Under the influence of the prevailing trough in Bay of Bengal, many parts of TN are expected to receive light to moderate showers with isolated heavy spells. As the trough is expected to move NNW, a gradual reduction in rainfall can be expected over the course of the day. Another low pressure area over the Arabian sea continues to persist – chances of both of these low pressure zones developing into a full fledged system is minimal at this time.Monsoon trough along with tropical wave activity continue to be active over the N Indian ocean and could spawn another trough later during the week.
