Scorching Heat To Continue In Tamil Nadu

The recent spurt of searing heat is likely to continue in Tamil Nadu with hot weather likely in the interiors. However, isolated places in the state would experience paltry showers in the evening which could bring some feeble relief. In the other half of the country, eastern Rajasthan and western Madhya Pradesh could see some wet weather from the former deep depression that traversed central India.
The remnant of tropical cyclone Dianmu, as a low pressure area is likely to move into eastern India and the adjoining country of Bangladesh bringing wet weather to West Bengal, Tripura, Mizoram, as well as the country of Bangladesh. Along the west coast, moderate rainfalls could be expected along the Konkan and Goa coasts.

 

City Outlook:
Chennai – Yet another hot day expected with the maximum temperature climbing up to 37-38 C in the western suburbs. Light showers possible in the night.
Trichy – The city is likely to brace for another hot day with the mercury reaching 37-38 C. A shower or two could occur in the evening.
Madurai – Soaring temperatures on the cards with possible maximums of 38 C. A thunderstorm or two could form in the district by afternoon.
Vellore – Dazzling temperatures are likely to be experienced as the mercury could hit 38 C. Showers could develop in the district by evening.
Coimbatore – The city could face moderate heat with temperatures reaching 33-34 C. Drizzles could occur in the city.
