Scorching weather set to continue over Tamil Nadu

World Meteorological Day was globally observed  yesterday with greater engagements by weather enthusiasts.
Dry  and warm weather would prevail over most parts of Tamil Nadu. There was no big change observed in the maximum temperature in the day and with an exception of appreciable rise in temperature at one or two places over Coastal Tamil Nadu.
The temperatures  will rise  above normal at few places over Interior Tamil Nadu and appreciably above normal at most places over western interior Tamil Nadu in the coming days. Weather experts have forecast mainly hot and dry weather for most parts of the country including Tamil Nadu for a weeks time. Farmers have been advised to take benefit from significant dry period and complete harvesting, if any.
City Outlook:
Chennai – Partly Cloudy and warm. Maximum temperature may rise upto 36°C and witness  gentle sea breeze in the evening.
Vellore – Partly cloudy and very warm. Maximum temperature may shoot up to 38°C.
Madurai – Partly cloudy with warm weather expected. City may witness maximum temperature of 38° C.
Trichy – Mostly sunny with scorching heat of 39°C.
Coimbatore – Partly cloudy and unpleasant with maximum temperature of 37°C.
