Seasonal Pleasant Weather to mark Sunday

Seasonal weather is expected to prevail over parts of Tamil Nadu for the next few days. A Western Disturbance is expected to affect the western Himalayas from tomorrow. Fog is expected over the north Eastern parts of India.
Tamil Nadu will be dry with light rains expected over one or two isolated places may receive light rainfall. Periapalayam received light rains yesterday.
There is a watch for some rains as shown by a few numerical weather models between 20th and 23rd Jan 2017. We may get a clear picture by midweek. January rains are rare indeed. But there are instances like 1985, 2000 and 2002 where TN saw abundant rains in February (Its coincidental that 2000 and 2002 were drought years). These rains could be crucial to the parched earth in TN.

City Outlook:

Chennai – City will  experience partly cloudy weather with a max temperature of 30c and a min of 22-23c.
Coimbatore – Above average day temperatures expected to prevail over the region (32c/19c).
Madurai – Clear Skies with no chances of any rains for the day (31c/21c).
Trichy – Another dry day on the cards with warm day temperatures (31c/22c).
Vellore – No change in weather pattern is expected. Dry and Cold night is expected (29c/18c).
