Showers to soothe the drought stricken Tamilnadu

Drought-stricken Tamilnadu has had a welcome burst of medium to heavy rain over parts of  many interior districts for last  6 days and it may continue to see the  region of isolated rain clouds for another 10 days. Substantial band of rain formed over the interior districts bringing downpours daily to the parts of northern  and interior districts.
Even though this is welcome rain for many, however for many farmers it wouldn’t be enough to make up for what hadn’t fallen over the past few months.
Today, parts of Northern districts including Chennai may witness some rain in the evening  or night. As upper Air cyclonic circulation over Lakshadweep area has become less marked, we can see isolated  rain activities over many interior parts of  Tamilnadu.
