Conditions are becoming favourable for withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon from the entire country during the next 48 hours. The much awaited and anticipated North East Monsoon 2018 is all set to make its Onset over Coastal Tamil Nadu in the next 48 hours thanks to an embedded trough over South West Bay of Bengal. This is expected to produce Intermittent Moderate to Heavy showers over Coastal and Interior Tamil Nadu for the next 48 hours. Weather is expected to become dry yet again from Monday for another 3-4 days.
