Sluggish weather to continue in most parts of TN

The low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Odhisha & Gangetic West Bengal with associated Upper Air Circulation (UAC) persists. This is very likely to be become a well marked low during next 12 – 24 hours. Heavy Rains are likely at most places over Gangetic Plains, Central & North East India and along west coast. The low pressure area over South Pakistan & Neighbourhood persists, resulting in rains at few places over West and North Peninsular India.

Conditions are favourable for rains in South Interior Karnataka and Kerala. Ghats sections of Tamil Nadu in Coimbatore and Nilgiris district expected to benefit. Isolated evening thunderstorms are possible in West interior TN extending upto coastal TN.

City Outlook:

Chennai – Cloudy day with pleasant weather set to continue with Max temperature around 34C. Evening TS cannot be ruled out.

Trichy – Hot weather set to continue in Trichy with temperatures hovering around 37 – 38C.

Madurai – Maximum temperature is set to be in range of 38 – 39C with no much respite seen today.

Coimbatore – Slight Drizzles set to stage with ghats sections entering favourable conditions for heavy rains. Max temperature to be around 33C.

Vellore – Similar conditions of hot day and possibilities of evening Thundershowers set to prevail. Max temperature to be around 37C.
