Temperature to reduce slightly in Tamil Nadu as South West Monsoon sets in. Coastal Tamil Nadu will see slightly above normal temperatures whereas normal temperatures expected over Interiors of Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile the off-shore trough from south Maharashtra coast to Kerala coast persist, due to this trough Heavy to very Heavy Rainfall expected over Coastal Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra including Western ghat areas.
The Northern Limit of Monsoon(NLM) continues to pass through 10N/60E, 10N/70E, (Kochi, Tondi),14N/87E, 17N/90E, 20N/91E(Aijwal, Kohima, Deomali). Conditions are favourable for further advancement of South West Monsoon.

Vellore – Very warm day on cards with maximum temperatures settling around 39c.
Trichy – Clear skies and breezy day with max settling around 38-39c.
Madurai – Hot day ahead and max Temperature may spike upto 38c.
Coimbatore – Monsoonish weather with max Temperature possibly around 34c. Drizzles/Light rains possible.
