Tamil New Year eve Bay system to move away from the Indian Coastline

Hope  this new year showers abundant rains to quench our thirst and to bring back joy to our fellow farmers.
Yesterday’s trough of low pressure area now lies over Southeast Bay of Bengal and is expected to further develop into a depression during the next 48 hours. Major model projections shows  this potential system to move away from the Indian coastline.
Interior parts of Tamil Nadu may expect isolated evening thunderstorms while temperatures could continue to stay well above normal in many parts. The Coastal areas of the state may show a rise in temperatures after 2 to 3 days. Thunderstorms are expected to continue over Kerala.

 

City Outlook:

Chennai – Partly cloudy sky with maximum hovering around 35 degrees with a minimum of around 27 degrees leading to a warm/ humid nights/early mornings.

Madurai – No big change with partly cloudy skies .Maximum may near 40 degree mark with a minimum of around 27 degrees giving no respite to the dominating heat.

Trichy – Yet another warm day with maximum all set to breach the 40 degree threshold and minimum of around 26 to 27 degrees.

Coimbatore – Partly cloudy to generally cloudy skies with maximum of around 36 to 37 degrees and a minimum of around 25/26 degrees.

Vellore – A hot day with a maximum of around 41 degrees and a minimum of around 26 degrees.
