The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) passes through Lat. 14°N / Long. 60°E, Lat. 14°N / Long. 65°E, Lat. 14°N / Long. 70°E, Honavar, Tumkur, Nellore and Lat. 15°N / Long. 85°E, Lat. 17°N / Long. 90°E, Lat. 20°N / Long. 91°E, Agartala, William Nagar, Kokrajhar and Lat. 27°N / Long. 90°E. Favorable conditions are developing for further advance of SWM.
Thunderstorm activity is very likely at isolated parts of west interior TN spreading till coastal TN.

Chennai – Temperatures expected to decrease and may settle around near normal maximum temperature of around 36-37C.
Coimbatore – Comfortable day ahead with maximum temperature settling around 32C. Light rains possible by evening.
Madurai – Can expect a hot day with maximum temp. around 37-38 C. Rains might be expected late in the evening.
Trichy – Will be a hot and humid with a day time maximum settling around 37-38 C.
Vellore – Appreciably below normal to normal temperature expected with maximum temperature settling around 36 – 37C and possible evening showers.
