Thunderstorm activity set to decrease over North TN

Typical monsoon features of land lows and troughs over north and Central India have fetched substantial rains in the Northern, Central, North East and North Western parts of India. The offshore Trough at sea level, from south Maharashtra till North Kerala persists in the Arabian Sea, and the Trough over coastal AP extending up to Kanyakumari persists as well in the East.

The break type scenario over the southern peninsula continues, however the conditions are subject to change and the monsoon is expected to pick up momentum in the West coast eventually. Such a reversal could deprive the chances of notable rains for TN past the coming weekend.
The Thunderstorm activity over north TN would gradually tend to decrease during the course of the week.
