Thunderstorm grip to loosen in Tamil Nadu

Active rain driving circulation lies over North Chattisgarh and neighbourhood. Further north, monsoon trough is seen sitting pretty over a huge area expanding between Rajasthan and Odisha. It will continue to provide quintessential rains to vast swathes encompassing North West and Central India. Monsoon has rejuvenated in Konkan and Goa with consistent downpours expected for next 2 days or so. Coastal Karnataka can sneak in some useful rains especially in the areas adjoining Goa.

In Tamil Nadu, the intensity and spread of Thundershowers will reduce. Places adjoining Rayalaseema could witness isolated rains by late evening but in no way comparable with the rains witnessed prior in this month. Spike in heat is expected in interior parts of the state owing to drier weather conditions.
