The system continues to move northwards along the western\nperiphery of a deep layered subtropical anticyclone positioned over India. The\nsystem during the next 24 hours , as it moves offshore Maharashtra coast will\nbring in strong winds and surging oceans with high waves along the coast\nincluding Mumbai with on and off passing gusty showers. Meanwhile, in south\nIndia, especially Tamil Nadu, the north coastal districts will continue to reel\nunder heat wave like conditions with strong westerlies advecting in hot air\ninto the region and delaying the sea breeze moderation of afternoon\ntemperatures. Many parts of east coast and east central India will continue to\nsee heat wave conditions.
