Numerical weather models predict that the system will intensify into a cyclonic storm today, as conditions are favorable. A slight reduction in rain may occur during the daytime today due to the current positioning of circulation . However, rainfall is expected to increase from tonight across North Tamil Nadu, including KTCC districts (Kanchipuram, Thiruvallur, Chengalpet, Chennai).
