The cyclone\u2019s central dense overcast (CDO) brought torrential downpours, with Mylam in Villupuram recording 500 mm of rain in the last 24 hours and Pondicherry receiving 490 mm. Villupuram has recorded around 600mm of rainfall since yesterday morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the cyclone weakens, rainfall is expected to ease.
