Though the conditions like Shear, Sea Surface Temperature (SST) are favorable, the interaction with Srilankan landmass is hindering its development. Once the system gets out of Srilankan landmass, it will intensify slightly as atmospheric conditions are favorable. It would move in North west direction towards coastal TN. Under its influence heavy to very heavy rainfall with isolated extremely heavy rainfall would occur over Coastal TamilNadu. Heavy rains would also occur over Interior TN. Fishermen are advised not to venture into sea along and off coastal TN.
