Isolated thundershowers, however, are still possible in parts of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and southern Karnataka.<\/div>\n<div>The mercury is likely to soar up and reach 40 C at a few places in Tamil Nadu. A thundershower or two could occur in the district.<\/div>\n<div>Trichy &#8211; A blazing afternoon on the cards as the city could see temperatures nearing 39-40 C during the day. Slight possibilities of showers exist.<\/div>\n<div>Coimbatore &#8211; Super hot weather likely with the thermometer reading 38-39 C in the afternoon.
