Heavy flooding and windy conditions are expected as storm surge threatens to inundate the heavily populated coastal areas. The storm should quickly weaken after landfall and continue to move North East bringing heavy rains over West Bengal and North Eastern states.<\/div>\n<div>South west monsoon will continue to advance under the influence of this storm as westerly winds strengthen. IMD, the premier meteorological institute has announced that SWM will set in over Kerala by this month end.
