The southern peninsula takes centre stage for the southwest monsoon’s last hurrah. Isolated thundershowers are likely to occur in Tamil Nadu on a hot day with partly cloudy skies, particularly in the interiors of Tamil Nadu. Similarly, solitary thunderstorms could form in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with a little bit of rain in the interiors of Karnataka as well. Moderate rainfall is likely in Kerala, with rains reducing after today.<\/p>\n

Chennai<\/strong> – Partly cloudy day with fairly high temperatures reaching 34-35 C. An odd shower might occur in the evening, though chances seem low.<\/p>\n

Trichy<\/strong> – The renowned October heat is likely to prevail with the temperature peaking at 36 C. Showers likely in the evening.<\/p>\n

Madurai<\/strong> – Searing heat on the cards with the mercury peaking at 36-37 C in the afternoon. Chances of thunderstorms exist later in the day.<\/p>\n

Coimbatore<\/strong> – Moderately hot weather up ahead with partly cloudy skies, marked by a maximum temperature of 33-34 C. Showers in the vicinity by evening.<\/p>\n

Vellore<\/strong> – Fairly hot day ahead with the thermometer hitting 33 C in the afternoon. Isolated showers likely.<\/p>\n
