Southwest monsoon kick started itself yesterday in the West coast of Indian Peninsula after being in limbo for some time since it’s stormy onset last week. From now on, it is expected to advance further into some more parts of the Peninsula and Northeastern states in the next 2-3 days as conditions would be ripe for it’s advance.
\nAs such today, heavy rains are forecast for Kerala, Telangana, Andhra pradesh, Andaman Islands and Northeastern states.
\nNorthwestern Tamilnadu and Interior districts would see scattered Thunderstorms today.<\/p>\n

The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) passes through Lat. 14\u00b0N\/ Long. 60\u00b0E, Lat. 14\u00b0N\/ Long. 70\u00b0E, Shirali, Hassan,
\nMysuru, Salem, Karaikal, Lat. 14\u00b0N\/ Long. 85\u00b0E, Lat. 19\u00b0N\/ Long. 90\u00b0E, Agartala, Lumding, north Lakhimpur and Lat. 29\u00b0N\/Long. 95\u00b0E.<\/p>\n

Coimbatore<\/strong> \u2013 Generally cloudy sky with a high of 33 degrees and a low of 24 degrees. Thunderstorms are expected in the city and in the surrounding areas.<\/p>\n

Madurai<\/strong> \u2013 Generally cloudy sky with Maximum is expected to be around 36 degrees and a minimum of 26 degrees. Thunderstorms are expected in the vicinity.<\/p>\n
