Monsoon winds continue to batter the west coast of Indian Peninsula resulting in multiple rain gauges across the west coast furiously ticking off centuries of rainfall quantum and a few double centuries too. This trend is expected to continue today too as favorable conditions for Monsoon are still existing as a Low Pressure area is churning near the Northeastern Bay of Bengal and is expected to strengthen into a Well Marked LPA today.<\/p>\n

Down below Tamilnadu would remain dry today as the pace of mid level westerlies would prevent the development of any significant Thunderstorms. But districts near Western ghats eg. Ooty, Coimbatore, Theni, Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari especially areas in windward side as usual would have plenty of rains.<\/p>\n

Chennai<\/strong> \u2013 Generally cloudy sky with an expected maximum of around 38 degrees and a minimum of 28 degrees. Fast moving Thunderstorms might give a surprise to parts of the city and it’s suburbs.<\/p>\n

Coimbatore<\/strong> \u2013\u00a0Generally cloudy sky with a high of 33 degrees and a low of 22 degrees. Passing showers are expected in the city and in the surrounding areas.<\/p>\n

Madurai<\/strong> \u2013 Partly cloudy sky with Maximum is expected to be around 37 degrees and a minimum of 27 degrees.<\/p>\n
